I grew up in Central Wisconsin and attended UW-Stevens Point for my undergraduate degree. I went there intending to get my degree in Graphic Design but quickly took to sculpture and wood turning. After my first year at UWSP, I took a ceramics class and fell in love with the tactile and forgiving medium. I did my first wood firing with Micheal Scheale of Eagle Rock Pottery which opened so many doors that have lead me to where I am today, a full time wood fired potter living in Blue Hill, ME.
